Theme of the Day - A song that makes me feel guilty
Guilty? Makes me feel guilty? Okay, no. We're not doing these emotion songs.
Thus today's category will be... Song most recently purchased on iTunes!
For anyone who has been reading along, you know I am in a country music phase. This is much like the R&B phase I went through this time last year! Today's song comes to you from Lady Antebellum entitled Just a Kiss.

50 Day Song Challenge - Day 27
Theme of the Day - A song with a great video
*NSync made some of the best pop videos ever! This I Promise You was filmed in the Sequoia National Park. Gone, Girlfriend and I Drive Myself Crazy rank amongst my favorites. God Must Have Spent a Little More Time on You is dreamy. Since Bye, Bye, Bye has already made an appearance on this challenge, I will go with It's Gonna Be Me. What a great video! Check it out!

50 Day Song Challenge - Day 26
Theme of the Day - a song I love, discovered through a friend
The wonderful Carrie Delisio turned me on to Michael Buble. I absolutely love his music, especially Haven't Met You Yet. It's a feel good song, with an upbeat tempo, and a jazz style. He reminds me of Harry Connick, Jr. or a young Frank or Tony, and whenever I hear this song, my fingers immediately start snapping and a smile appears on my face! Enjoy the video!

50 Day Song Challenge - Day 25
Theme of the Day - a song that makes me laugh
A Veggietales song would be very appropriate for this category! Perhaps His Cheeseburger? Or Pirates Who Don't Do Anything? Even The Waterbuffalo Song?
No, no, only one song will do. The one, the only... Oh where is my hairbrush??

50 Day Song Challenge - Day 24
Theme of the Day - a song I want to play at my funeral
It would be cliche to say I would love to have Amazing Grace played on the bagpipes at my funeral. However, I'd absolutely love that!
To be perfectly honest, I hope that instead of a sad funeral, there will be a big party. I like parties, and my friends like parties. Perhaps it will be one big party! If that's the case, Dynamite by Taio Cruz should be the first song played!

50 Day Song Challenge - Day 23
Theme of the Day - a song played at our wedding
Oh the memories! Bob Spencer & Linda Selleck played the guitar, flute & harp during our wedding, and the beautiful Sarah Selleck Kessler sang. The music being played as I walked down the aisle was the wedding march in the Sound Of Music! This combined my favorite movie with our special day.
Bob also took many of the poems John had written me during our courtship and turned them into a song he and Sarah sang during the ceremony. It was happily entitled How Beautiful You Are. It gave me goosebumps, and in fact, it came up on my iPod today as I was driving through Hot Springs National Park.
Dear Randy Cockerham, who has sadly passed away, was the DJ at our wedding reception held at the Atrium Furniture Showroom. High Point is the "Furniture Capital of the World," and this was a unique venue. Fun fact...ours was the last wedding reception held at the Atrium! Randy put together quite the play list, though I only remember a couple of the songs played. As mentioned before, we had our first dance as husband and wife to the Temptations rendition of Night and Day. My dad and I danced to Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle, and my youth group came out onto the floor and we danced to The Twist! It was quite precious!
My favorite memory came as Rainbow Connection, as sung by Kermit the Frog, was played. How many people can say Kermit sang at their wedding reception?! It was a priceless moment. Check out Kermit below!

50 Day Song Challenge - Day 22
Theme of the Day - A song I listen to when I'm sadThat's it. I'm changing it up. No more categories for emotions. Today, instead, the category will be the American Idol finale!
From the first part of the season, I picked Scotty McCreery & Lauren Alaina as my favorites. Clearly, my newfound country music fascination was prevailing. Wouldn't you know it, both Scotty AND Lauren made it to the finale!! I've slightly favored Scotty over Lauren, but I cannot wait to buy each of their first albums. Scotty knocked my socks off with Check Yes or No, and Lauren's third song, what will be her first single if she wins, was amazing and full of emotion. I actually wept.
The friendship between the two contestants is evident, as well. They seem to have a mutual admiration for each other and respect for the other's talent. What if you were up for the "American Idol" title and definite record contract? Would you love your competition enough to encourage them and love them? That is a Christlike trait, one I hope I can embody in my life, which makes me admire the two youngsters even more.
Here is one of my favorite moments between the two of them this season... I simply loved their duets! Much luck to them both as they continue to grow...and sell MANY records!
