Conversations About Jesus #2: Jesus Interrupts!!

Last Friday, we talked about a couple of things:

1. Jesus is personal. He knows us. He speaks to us directly. He took time to listen. He took time to be present. Jesus abides.
2. Jesus’ humanity. Jesus napped. He was tired! He slept! He rested!

Read Mark 1:16-21

Jesus said, “Follow me.” And they IMMEDIATELY dropped their nets and followed him.

Jesus has a way of interrupting life to get our attention. What distracts you from following Christ? How has Jesus gotten your attention?

The call to discipleship is definite and demands a response of total commitment.

Discipleship costs us. In our comfortable Christianity, we tend to ignore that cost until circumstances leave us no choice. Jesus didn’t die for us to be comfortable…

- Has Jesus ever spoken to you directly?
- What does true discipleship look like to you?
